College. Retirement. Healthcare.
These are the boogeymen of adulthood. If you’ve got them covered, you sleep better at night, right? But even if you have addressed them one by one, do you worry that there’s no overall plan?
As your financial planner, I use a very broad set of skills and experiences to ensure that the different pieces of your financial life work together. I add the most value when you really let me dig into things and take a look at all your insurance, your household budget, tax returns, and, finally, your investments.
Here’s where I toot my own horn: I have both law and business degrees (Hook’em!) and I’ve been investing in the stock market since I was 19 years old (I bought a closed end emerging market fund—didn’t really know what that was). In my law practice, I was general counsel to startups, did some litigation and also did will and estate planning (and still do some). I’ve been in the securities industry since 2006, first in compliance, and then as a financial advisor. My practice is fee-only, you’ll always know what I’m paid. My focus is on building a repeatable process that you can trust in and stick with for the long haul. My goal is to be the first call my clients make when they have financial questions about anything. I don’t have all the answers, but I know how to look them up.
I spend all day, every day thinking about markets and planning. I’m honest (Eagle Scout) and accessible (phone calls and emails get returned promptly. Give me a shout if you’re ready for a financial coach and we’ll see if we want to work together to create a wealth planning process tailored to your unique goals and your appetite for risk.
Plans are useless, but planning is indispensable.
